Tam Volk spots an ambush and Ray Mcer thwarts an attempt to take out the APC, while 'Doc' finds a Colonial Marshall and his Deputy in the rubble. There a successful infiltration and a swift descent to Sub-Level 3, a chest-burster and a spray of acid costs them their Synth, and signs of what happened to the marine garrison. Then, a fixation on finding the secrets, dubious fire control, and self-sacrifice to save some squad-mates ...
