Man arrested after St Marys home invasion and shooting

A group broke into a home on Marsden Street in St Marys, western Sydney, just before midnight, threatening residents and firing a gun before fleeing in a getaway car. The suspects crashed into a fence on a nearby street and escaped on foot. Police arrested a 45-year-old man at a nearby unit complex, who was injured and remains under police guard in hospital while officers search for other offenders.
