SOUL WORK OF THE WEEK — Recognizing the Connection FieldThis practice is not about another person.
It’s about learning how connection feels before it becomes relational.
Once per day, pause during a neutral moment.
Ask yourself:
Am I in a state of openness — or am I reaching for connection?
Notice your body, not your thoughts.
Reaching feels like:
- forward tension
- mental scanning
- emotional anticipation
- subtle urgency
Openness feels like:
- grounded presence
- relaxed attention
- no need to act
- no directionality
If you notice reaching, do not stop it.
That creates more effort.
Instead, let your body settle where it already is.
Settling might look like:
- letting your breath slow naturally
- releasing your jaw or shoulders
