AMC's Rise Of The 49er's From The Creative Team Of Ryan Kelly And Nick Mascolo

AMC introduces Rise of the 49ers, a limited series event, exploring the dramatic and iconic run of the San Francisco 49ers during the ‘80s and early ’90s. Utilizing rare and never-before-seen footage from NFL Films, Rise of the 49ers features incisive interviews with club legends (and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees) such as Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott, Steve Young and Eddie DeBartolo Jr., among others. Each episode will also feature on-camera contributions from Rise of the 49ers was executive produced by Tom Brady, a San Mateo, CA, native and life-long 49ers fan who also appears on-camera throughout the series.During the “Gold Rush” reign from 1981 to 1995, the San Francisco 49ers won five Super Bowls and revolutionized the sport, on and off the field. The series chronicles the rise of the team from underdogs into pro football’s most glamorous franchise and offers a compelling look at the personalities that helped shape the sport.Rise of the 49ers director Ken Rodgers is a documentary filmmaker and senior executive for NFL Films, one of the most well-respected production companies in the industry. For the past 17 seasons, he has been the lead creative producer behind HBO’s Hard Knocks, the first and most successful sports follow-doc series in television history. Rodgers has won 13 Emmy Awards, the most recent as Senior Coordinating Producer on the 10-part ESPN+ series Man in the Arena. Ken has directed multiple ESPN 30 for 30 films including NY Sack Exchange, The Minister of Defense, Elway to Marino, Deion’s Double Play, etc.
