Chile declares catastrophe as wildfires kill 18

Raging wildfires in two regions of Chile have killed at least 18 people, prompting the government to declare a state of catastrophe. Twenty-four active fires south of the capital Santiago have forced 20,000 people to evacuate, with extreme conditions and temperatures reaching 38 degrees expected to continue in the coming days.
