Ranking Member Garcia described the actions as advancing justice and transparency, emphasizing the need to understand how Epstein’s activities were supported or facilitated by powerful associates. The subpoenas reflect broader congressional pressure—including votes to force the Justice Department to release millions of pages of investigatory files—to uncover previously unseen details about Epstein’s connections with elite figures. Wexner’s counsel has said he will “cooperate fully,” noting past cooperation with earlier investigations.
