And there are words that, spoken at the right time, can become a guiding light.
Letters to Alexis: From a Father’s Heart is a nonfiction book written in the form of letters, in which a father shares with his adolescent son deep reflections on growing up, choosing, making mistakes, and building a life with meaning. It is an intimate dialogue that many parents wish they could have—and many children, even if they do not say it aloud, need to hear.
This book is primarily intended for parents of adolescents who want to guide without imposing, accompany without controlling, and leave a lasting imprint beyond rules and limits. It will also resonate with adults who look back and recognize in these pages the questions, doubts, and emotions of their own youth.
What will the reader find?
- Clear and humane advice on values, responsibility, self-esteem, and character.
- Reflections on social pressure, fear of failure, and the importance of making conscious decisions.
- An emotionally honest approach, free from moralizing or empty rhetoric.
- A model of parent–child communication based on respect, listening, and shared experience.
Unlike traditional manuals, this book does not teach how to raise children from theory, but how to accompany them from real life. There are no rigid lists or universal recipes, only words born from relationship, vulnerability, and responsible love. Its letter format allows for a close, reflective, and deeply human reading experience.
Letters to Alexis does not claim to have all the answers. It aims for something more valuable: opening conversations, planting questions, and strengthening the bond between parents and children during a crucial stage of life.
If you are looking for a book to be read slowly, felt in the chest, and echoed over time, this may be the beginning.
