The Begotten

Planet Scion is a world where children, called begotten, are bred in test tubes, raised in institutions until they turn twenty years old, and then released into society to pursue a self-indulgent lifestyle.
Dar-ak and thousands of his fellow begotten never make it to that golden age. They find themselves placed in individual space pods and rocketed from their planet. Four years later, the teenagers from outer space arrive on Earth, alone but for the mysterious givers that lurk in the innermost regions of their brains.
But are the givers friend or foe?
