Yesterday just before noon, scanner traffic indicated a training exercise from the fire department on a potential fire victim. It is always appreciated when law enforcement and fire personnel give the public a proper heads up to these training exercises.

Today is Law Enforcement Appreciation Day and it doesn't take a big gesture to make a meaningful impact. Often it's the simple, thoughtful acts that remind officers their service is seen and valued.

A few tips for showing appreciation might be to drop off some snacks at the local department.

Write thank you notes.

Offer face to face thank you's.

Pay for an officer's meal or coffee if you see them in the community.

Share a positive message about law enforcement with your friends and family and take a moment to pray for officers and their families, especially those working nights, weekends and holidays.

Behind every badge is a person and a family carrying the weight of service together.

Let's be intentional about our gratitude not just today but every day.

A huge thank you to all law enforcement officers and personnel in the area.

Roosevelt Public Power District is giving away some free power poles today. They have a large quantity of old used poles anywhere from 25 to 40 feet in length and they are giving them away. Call the office today. If you missed calling the office yesterday, bring a trailer today and check in with the office to see if any more are available or give the office a call at Roosevelt Public Power District. You will need to stop in the office and sign a waiver before you pick them up.
