Melbourne Zoo's crocodile matchmaking mission

Melbourne Zoo has brought Pangalawa (Pangi), a female Philippine crocodile, from Germany to pair with resident male crocodile Luzon as part of a breeding programme more than five years in development. The 50-kilogram Luzon currently outweighs the shy Pangi, and keepers expect the pairing process will take considerable time before any breeding attempts occur.
