Voz Virtual es una narración generada por computadora para audiolibros..
What is noise? It's a signal you don't like. And it's everywhere.
Noise can deafen you. It can undermine your sleep and your cardiovascular health.
Noise can also improve how we detect sounds and generate AI art and help secure digital communications. A little noise can also sharpen your focus and even make you a bit smarter. And maybe consider a noise fast on your next vacation. Noise may even be the energetic secret to life itself.
The book NOISE explores the ubiquitous phenomenon of noise from engineering to medicine to law and to the very quantum nature of the universe. Like all of Kosko's work: NOISE is meticulously researched and written in clear and direct prose. It's an entertaining and illuminating scientific journey into the fascinating and strange.

Editorial Reviews
"Heady reading from a polymath popularizer... exhilarating"
--Kirkus Reviews

"This is an endlessly fascinating book; in fact, it's one of those books that, while reading it, keep you lifting your head from the page and muttering "Wow!" to yourself as you absorb something else you had never thought of before. Kosko is an engaging writer, and he makes the science seem simple without ever dumbing it down"
--Booklist

"Noise is both ubiquitous and underappreciated. It structures how the mind works, how machines communicate with each other, and how the law resolves those pesky disputes between neighbors. All this and more is brought together in Bart Kosko's new book NOISE, which deftly merges the scientific with the practical in the study of this ever-present, and, it turns out, inescapable phenomenon"
--NYU Professor Richard A. Epstein, author of Takings, Laurence A. Tisch Professor of Law

"Bart Kosko takes you on an enjoyable ride around our noisy world where you learn among other things what kids have been telling their parents for generations--that one person's noise can be another person's signal"
--MIT Professor Jim Collins, MacArthur Fellow, Termeer Professor of Medical Engineering and Science

"Bart Kosko is a wonderful futurist with a polymathic combination of talents"
MIT Professor Marvin Minsky

"Polymath"
