Tradies rebuild kitchen for fraud victim

Gold Coast pensioner Carole Curtis, 84, receives a new kitchen from generous tradies after losing almost everything in an alleged elder abuse and fraud case. Christopher Bruce Smith, who had power of attorney over Curtis, allegedly started multiple companies under her name and left her with substantial debts including unpaid rent for a multi-million dollar home. The Fraud Squad is investigating while a team of pro-bono lawyers helps Curtis fight lenders trying to take her home.
