Toddler killed in driveway accident at Port Stephens

A one-year-old girl was fatally struck by a Toyota Hilux in a driveway at Tenilba Bay, Port Stephens, north of Newcastle. The toddler was rushed to John Hunter Hospital where medical staff were unable to save her life. A 25-year-old man, believed to be a family member, was taken into police custody for mandatory testing, though no charges have been laid.
