Sam Mac joins Melbourne Zoo for it's butterfly house turning 40

Melbourne Zoo's Butterfly House celebrates its 40th anniversary, housing approximately 600 butterflies across 12-15 different species that are bred year-round on site. The facility has documented the emergence of about 896,000 butterflies since opening, with 30-60 new butterflies emerging daily from their chrysalis stage and being released at midday.
