What comes to mind when you hear the words “calling” or “purpose”? Do you tend to think of “ministry” as something only pastors do, or do you recognise God has designed every follower of Jesus with a calling? Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:4–6 God gives different gifts for different purposes. 2. Have you ever felt “less than” because your gifts or personality don’t look like someone else’s? How does the conversation in this episode help you embrace who God has uniquely made you to be? Scripture: Psalm 139:13–16 You are intentionally crafted by God. 3. What areas of your life consistently produce “fruit”? Where do you see people encouraged, helped, or drawn closer to God through you? These may be clues to your calling. Scripture: Matthew 7:17 A good tree is known by its fruit. 4. Are you waiting for a dramatic “burning bush moment” before stepping into what God may already be inviting you to do? What small step of obedience could you take this week? Scripture: Luke 16:10 Faithfulness begins in small things. 5. Where do you sense God nudging you to share the gospel? Your workplace, your neighbourhood, a café community, a hobby group, or online? How can you be present and available there? Scripture: Acts 17:26–27 God places us where we are for a purpose. 6. In what ways might comparison or insecurity be stopping you from being a witness for Christ? How can you replace those thoughts with truth? Scripture: 2 Corinthians 3:5 Our competence comes from God 7. What declaration of calling could you speak out in faith? Not from arrogance, but from clarity and trust? For example: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me… to encourage, to teach, to gather, to invite, to listen.” Scripture: Luke 4:18 Jesus declared His anointing; we can too when we know our calling.
