Lieutenant Cain, Corporal 'Murph' Murphy, PFC Gibson and the rest of their marine squad race back to base accompanied by Esther Skye, a Borgia Industries Rep. There's a UPP attack group in orbit and a general evacuation is in progress. When they are drawn into a fire-fight they also find evidence of 'something else'. Initially that 'something' costs them their APC and their Squad Synthetic but when they get back to their base 'something' is on the loose. There's evidence of horrific violence, difficult choices, and a possible route off planet ... before damaged containment tanks and competing objectives surface and it all goes to shit ...
