Synopsis

My mother has the unique merit of making possible the writing and publication of Toras Levi Yitzchok and Likkutei Levi Yitzchok, which are studied to this day in Jewish communities around the world. She also played a special role in her husband’s activities of strengthening Yiddishkeit in that country; not only was she unafraid of the government, but she actively encouraged him, despite the mortal danger involved. For example, he was steadfast in providing proper certification of flour in the large mills in the region of Yekaterinoslav as kosher for Pesach. For this purpose he traveled to Moscow and met with Kalinin himself, influencing him to issue a decree to all the government officials not to interfere with the milling and to heed all of Rabbi Schneerson’s instructions without question etc. All of this was possible only due to the spirit that prevailed in their home etc.
