Wrong-way driver arrested after a police chase in Oxford

It's amazing there were no injuries in a dangerous high-speed chase in Oxford on Monday night. An officer tried to stop a vehicle on Highway 334 for traffic violations. The driver initially pulled over, but sped away as the officer approached. 39-year-old Kelsey Jennings of Ocean Springs drove the wrong way into oncoming lanes during the pursuit, hitting another vehicle but not stopping. He continued traveling in the wrong direction, and when his car became disabled from the crash, he fled on foot. Officers captured him near a home on Buchanan Avenue.
