Jonathan Lee has been a client in Amber Tilson's financial firm for years. He isn't her client though.
When Jonathan finally approaches her she is hesitant. She doesn't want to be accused of trying to steal someone else's client. She is even more hesitant because she knows exactly who he is and knows the drama that his lifestyle could bring.

With much hesitation Amber finally accepts Jonathan's advances and goes out with him. This starts a whirlwind of emotions for her that she has not allowed herself to feel in years. She falls in love with behind closed doors Jonathan.
Eventually Amber's life begins to feel like a roller coaster ride and she has to decide if this is what she really wants, if he is what she really wants.
Jonathan struggles keeping his public life and private life separate.

They are both too independent and struggle finding a balance that makes them both happy. In the long run it won't matter their relationship was sabotaged from day one.
