#297 台灣雨季來了 The Rainy Season Has Arrived in Taiwan 🌧

梅雨季 méi yǔ jì - plum rain season; East Asian rainy season

冷空氣 lěng kōng qì - cold air mass

暖空氣 nuǎn kōng qì - warm air mass

交會 jiāo huì - to meet; to converge

形成 xíng chéng - to form; to develop

滯留鋒 zhì liú fēng - stationary front (a weather front that doesn't move much)

卡在上空 kǎ zài shàng kōng - stuck overhead (of weather systems)

毛毛雨 máo máo yǔ - drizzle

強降雨 qiáng jiàng yǔ - heavy rainfall

典型 diǎn xíng - typical; representative

華中地區 huá zhōng dì qū - Central China region

梅子 méi zi - plum

成熟 chéng shóu - to ripen; mature

熱帶 rè dài - tropical zone

晴朗 qíng lǎng - sunny and clear

輪流 lún liú - to take turns; alternately

天氣預報 tiān qì yù bào - weather forecast

悶熱 mēn rè - hot and stuffy

防曬用品 fáng shài yòng pǐn - sun protection products

防雨用品 fáng yǔ yòng pǐn - rain protection items

環島 huán dǎo - to travel around an island (especially Taiwan)

滑 huá - slippery

視線 shì xiàn - visibility; line of sight

硬闖 yìng chuǎng - to force one’s way through

漏水 lòu shuǐ - water leakage

把門窗關緊 bǎ mén chuāng guān jǐn - to close doors and windows tightly

排水溝 pái shuǐ gōu - drainage ditch

清乾淨 qīng gān jìng - to clean thoroughly

排水口 pái shuǐ kǒu - drainage outlet

排水通暢 pái shuǐ tōng chàng - smooth drainage

牆壁 qiáng bì - wall

滲水 shèn shuǐ - water seepage

鋪 pū - to lay out; to spread

抹布 mǒ bù - cleaning cloth; rag

之類的 zhī lèi de - things like that; and so on

地下室 dì xià shì - basement

低窪 dī wā - low-lying (area)

抽水馬達 chōu shuǐ mǎ dá - water pump

豪雨或雷雨警報 háo yǔ huò léi yǔ jǐng bào - heavy rain or thunderstorm alert
