When Dean's former Marine buddy, Badger Lowell, bribes him to take the arduous trip into the past, the last thing either of them expects during the “Night Medicine” ceremony is for a grizzly bear to chase Kai, a beautiful and complicated Cree woman, into the past with them.

Upon arrival in 1868, the three doubtful travelers are ensnared into an adventure of deceit, murder, buffalo hunters, and a kidnapping as they journey from the vast Blackfoot Nation to the gold mining town of Helena, Montana.

Hidden motivations are soon exposed and all of Dean and Kai’s well-meaning plans are cast away into the winds of time.

Wonderful story

It was good and kept my interest. Nice descriptive language interesting subject. Like the cross of paranormal and historic. Wouldn’t change anything except the one reference to Ex Marine. Once a Marine always a Marine. They only like former or retired.

I thought it was a good story

I liked it, I will definitely be reading more from this author. I understand there's a book 2 so I would like to read it too.
