Great listen

I seen the movie first but this book was way better! What a great story!

Love, hate relationship with this book.

We don’t see many love stories centering two black men, so I must always thank the author James Hardy for this story. But I feel Mitchell’s characterization drove me insane. The way how almost every man centered his life before his own made me very disappointed. And this could be due to the genre these type of books are in, but everything was so overly sexualized.

Beautiful Queer Love Story

Once I saw the movie on BET+ I just KNEW I had to read this book! I was 2 years old when this book came out. This book never came across my path during my attendance of middle and high school…heck not even college! So, I’m glad that I was able to read this book to read about the love story between Mitchell (Lil Bit) & Raheim (Pooquie). I loved every moment of it!

being really real.

what I liked most about this story is how real and relatable it was.. I have listened to books over time, but this one made me feel like I needed to get back to it when ever I could. I was finishing it in two days. I really appreciate the ups and downs in the story. the voice of the reader was very soothing and extremely erotic.

The narrator is one of the best. No crazy voices but each character has their own unique approach. Very good story of love on the 90s in NYC.

Just Superb!!

I thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed this listen. The narration was on point. I felt really connected to this storyline. I have dealt with and been around “B Boys” and have had moments in my life where I have had similar friends and issues. Awesome… just AWESOME!!!

Good story, detailed and complex characters.

Good story but in my opinion, an unacceptable ending. Once the event of domestic violence occurred, there is no coming back. Violence in a couple is unforgivable.
