Love, hate relationship with this book.

We don’t see many love stories centering two black men, so I must always thank the author James Hardy for this story. But I feel Mitchell’s characterization drove me insane. The way how almost every man centered his life before his own made me very disappointed. And this could be due to the genre these type of books are in, but everything was so overly sexualized.

what I liked most about this story is how real and relatable it was.. I have listened to books over time, but this one made me feel like I needed to get back to it when ever I could. I was finishing it in two days. I really appreciate the ups and downs in the story. the voice of the reader was very soothing and extremely erotic.

This is very relatable story and the history shared on current events of the-time was impeccable.
