All of his friends call him Harley because he rides one mean motor scooter. Most everyone else calls him Mr. Jensen because he is one bad-assed dude. Except for Claudia. She calls him Caballero because she likes the way he rides.

Harley and Claudia meet in Rock Springs, WY, in a little bar on the East edge of town on a Monday night. Their story ends on a lonely street in Jackson, WY on a Thursday afternoon. The ex-marine and the blonde barfly are a match made under a neon moon, over a cold beer, and a bowl of pretzels. Their short time together is a story of desire, need, and violence.

By the time Tuesday morning comes around, the couple has run afoul of Samantha Sunchild Franklin. She is driving across the country to take a job with the FBI. Along the way, she stops to meet up with a lover from her college days. She also takes the time to search for her uncle. After finding both, she begins a desperate hunt that will take her north to Jackson.

For two and a half days, Sami tracks Harley and Claudia, inching ever closer. Along the way, she learns startling information about her own life that she must deal with as she attempts to put a stop to the motorcycle riding couple before they strike again.
