No tickets? No plans? No money? - No problem!

The world’s biggest and most awesome human gathering - the Kumbh mela! This religious fair on the banks of the holy Ganges attracts more pilgrims than the whole population of Europe!

Sadhus, Babas, seekers of all sorts...I just had to check it out…

But how? I had no tickets, no plans, no information, no money and no clue!
Never mind! Just go for it! Boldly jump in where the angels fear to tread!

The Patron Saint of Idiots will be my shepherd - I shall not want!

I had no money for a ticket - but a prospective employer called me to the nearest city for an interview...and paid for the ticket!

I had no train tickets - and all the trains were full - so I travelled without a reservation - and shivered in front of the toilet compartment all night - but I got there!

I had no hotel bookings - but got awesome rooms everywhere.

I had no company and no knowledge of what to do - so went alone ...but got adopted by friendly locals, who explained it all to me…

After all - if you wait for company to travel with, you might end up waiting your whole life long!

A unique exploration of India - by an Indian!
Get a real taste of India, with crisp and flavoursome sides of history, culture, traditions - and a lot of fun anecdotes and stories.

Reviews:
A Wonderful Misadventurous Book -
travel freaks must read this book. It's a delightful tour to a number of major locations in India, as well as a short nice trip to Bhutan. I always love Ketan's books. Waiting for more books from Ketan.

So, here he is again on the road, with his bag, but this time it's quite different from the previous travels. He is not on his bike, and he is without the other two Amigos. This time he is backpacking. He is on a solo adventure.

An interesting travelogue through India! - I am a fan of the author’s adventures with his amigo buddies on motorcycles, but this was a different adventure of a sort. His backpacking trip was not as I had assumed a hike thru the mountains and forest but rather a visit to the many locations of historical interest in India. The author takes you along in his travels and provides a wonderful description of Indian history and cultures. His adventures and misadventures provide a delightful and entertaining tour through a country that I hope one day to visit. Bravo!

Generally travel based books are dry. You tend to disconnect and lose interest. Not with this one. It keeps you interested and has awesome humour. Loved it. Liked a travel book after long time.

Wacky styled travel story..Loved it.

Raw fun! And a traveller's guide too!!
