When a wild elephant charges at you - you better hope that your bike starter is working...
Three anxious Amigos run for their lives - just another day in a ride of the ‘Three Men on Motorcycles’…
After two trips to the Himalayas - the Amigos turn around and ride in the opposite direction - to South India!
It started as just a weekend ride from the city, but it felt so good that I just kept going!
Riding down the scenic Konkan coast, over beautiful Sahyadri hills and deserted beaches, past ancient temples and amazingly scenic ruined sea-forts…
A short halt in the holiday paradise of Goa, and then itchy feet - and a stentorian shout from SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED, The terrible Travel Goddess - enticed me to continue riding down the coastline - till my bike broke down in the middle of a dense jungle!
The Amigos were champing at the bit by this time - they were desperate to ride! They joined me in South India and we continued riding over hills and through jungles...until we met a herd of wild elephants with babies - and the irritated mother elephant CHARGED!
DID WE SURVIVE? READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT!
Spoiler alert! We did survive… but do read the book anyway...It’s amazing fun!
A unique exploration of India - by Indians!
Get a real taste of India, with crisp and flavoursome sides of history, culture, traditions - and a lot of spicy anecdotes and stories.
Reviews:
Another awesome account of crazy experiences of the three Amigos...have read many travelogues, but the way Ketan takes you to these trips, makes it more fun. And now, I have read all the five books of the rides of three Amigos, and have immensely enjoyed all the books.
I have read quite a few travel books but I could say that ketan has a very different writing style; which I personally enjoyed.
As expected, another fun read by Ketan. Loved his humour and the timing of it along with the extensive knowledge about various aspects of Indian history related to the places the Amigos visit. And most of all, the way in which he describes the pieces of mythological stories related to a place, being or a thing such makes you ROFL. Thanks for writing Ketan ! Big cheers man
An Interesting Book: Bike Tour sautéed with Indian History - crisp n spicy ! This was the third book I read, one after the other, by Ketan Joshi. Liked all the books, started with Leh trip, then Spiti and then this one.
