A mission outpost to rescue artists

When Chozen Frozen Gallery in Stillwater, Minnesota, was first opened to the public in December, Charlie and Hildah had been talking with Haley and Malcolm about what was coming. They had two specific words of prophecy and knowledge. The Lord told them that there would be outposts in Red Wing and Northfield which would build off the legacy of the Hauge evangelistic movement within the Norwegian Lutheran church. The Red Wing Seminary in the late 1800s had been a Hauge Synod work teaching lay people to share the Gospel with people in their daily lives.

The outposts would be started when they were contacted by descendants of those evangelists. That would give them the entrance they would use to establish the outpost. They were to make non-specific preparations, getting people ready to help with an unspecified new work. So, they did that, keeping their hands off until the Lord started the process.

Of course, that was an excellent idea, because when it started, they were truly surprised. It was really fun, because in many ways this was a very different vision. One that would work for Red Wing, Minnesota. As usual, the Lord puts together a family of several couples to do the work. The Kingdom is normally built on a marriage of two solid believers ready to do whatever He leads them to do.

Beginning from that baseline, the Lord works marvels—wondrous things. I mean, Jesus is the Creator. He knows how to do it well. He knows how to take care of His people. The strangely unbelievable is commonplace in the Kingdom of God. It’s who He is. He can’t help himself.

The Lord is witty and funny with His people who know Him well. But don’t tell anyone—that might spoil the fun. Walking in the Spirit, in close relationship with our Messiah is an amazing life. These things are rarely taught because, without holiness, the soul and flesh ruin it.

The Lord had told them it was coming. As usual, it is only understood in hindsight. But all of our walks are walks of faith. If not, then we fall back on the tried and true—assume it’s all covered. “I took care of that a long time ago.” But there are good reasons to be so reliant on Jesus, our Messiah.

The nature of creativity is to step outside of all of that. The problem is that the enemy has no scruples and he is happy to feed us lies.

The Lord waits until we ask in faith. Faith is new every morning. Then He provides the Truth—exceptional, truly good ideas, with power. Our Messiah deposed the enemy a couple millennia ago. But liars come to believe their lies, so the Creep doesn’t give up. He really should be god, just ask him.

I live the way my characters live—on my good days. Truth be told, even on my bad days in many cases. My assignment is to share what the daily life of a believer truly is.

The institutional church has sold us a bill of goods by telling us that God doesn’t talk to His people anymore and that the born again experience is simply a lie caused by out of control emotionalism. Both of those positions are lies from the pit of Hell.

All you need to do is find a quiet place and quietly ask Jesus out loud to speak to you. When He does, ask Him to show you how to be born of God—recreated. If you are serious, He will do it.
