 How long should Emily wait? Her newlywed husband never returned from the Vietnam War and his letters ceased arriving. She longed for him because he had promised to return and she had promised to wait. She went to college, taught school, retired, and then built a home on Georgian Bay in Ontario where her grandparents' old cottage had been. She enjoyed all the summers she had spent with them, even though she had experienced a near-tragic event one summer. A nightmare about the event was reoccuring. Her friend, Penny, visits often and the two friends decide to try to find George, Emily's husband, online one last time. She finallty gets an answer. Two neighbors keep an eye on her and seem interested in a relationship with her, but is she interested in either of them? Where is Emily's glimmer of hope?
