Decent book, hate the AI reader

I liked the book ok but the AI reader was awful. Totally wrong for this type of book. This book also has the undercurrent of AI assisted. The same words used over and over and over again.

Could not finish

The story started out interesting, or at least the premise did. I did not like that the story went straight into the auction with little to no back story. There was no interaction with the ill sister, no story before the auction. And for the male character, whose sole purpose was one thing, he spent a lot of time leaving the female character alone on her own to go "do business" or whatever else he was off doing. He had her for the weekend, per the contract, and pretty much wasted half his time away from her. Add in that the narrator sounds like AI. There's little to no emotion in the narrating and at certain points, some words are phrases are said a little high pitched or wrong inflection compared to the content. It's also difficult to follow which character's POV you're listening to when the male voice is read by a female voice. I very much dislike autobot AI narrating. Stopped listening half way through.
