Another great story

This might be my favorite of the series. very well written series. the performance by these narrators is outstanding. Book one had a different narrator. Each book focuses one a couple but, the rest of these characters are all there for the ride. great romances come out of these stories. well worth listening to. all of them!!!

Luca is the best!!

I have to admit that this is the first time I've heard Declan and i absolutely love his voice and how he narrates!! It was a nice change from hearing other popular narrators.

I love this story! I especially loved Luca’s nickname for Ford, “Little Bird”. They were soooo wonderful together! I knew when we finally got their story it would be amazing! I love Luca’s style of old world mobster looks and yet he longs to bring about change for the better, being more inspired to do so by his feelings for Ford. They have so far become my favorite couple of this series…we’ll have to see how Hopper and his agent do…lol!!

Declan Winters is a rock star

I loved reading this book with its smooth, possessive mobster and sweet virgin billionaire with an unexpected steel spine. And Kelly Fox writes books that are meant to be read aloud. Add Declan Winters talent and it's a match made in MM romance Heaven. Binge the series in order. You won't regret it.

Beautiful story

I am new to audiobooks, but I love Kelly’s stories so much and Declan Winters did a wonderful job bringing Luca and Ford to life. A beautiful story about patient and supportive love, with a little mob fun thrown in. Amazing.

This just ramped up my excitement for the next book even more. I’ve been waiting for it since Hopper started stalking, I mean, watching his RICO agent from the beginning and I cannot wait for their book to come out.

Buy it, borrow it, read it, listen to it, you will not regret it. Declan’s performance is ah-mazing!

This book made me realize why I don’t usually go in for mafia romances – because often, the characters in those don’t realize that they are clichés. Here, Fox makes all of her mobsters (and her billionaires) extremely self-aware of the roles they play and allows her characters to lean into the absurdity of their positions in life. This is typical of Fox’s brand of humor in her writing but also makes the characters in this series more accessible to readers who do not have any experience with either the mobster or billionaire lifestyle, without sacrificing any of the escapism elements that make the tropes appealing.

The dance between Luca and Ford has attracted me (pun intended) since book 1 due to the opposites-attract nature of their potential dynamic. Despite what we know about both characters so far, Fox still managed to surprise me once we’re inside their actual narratives. If anything, I found Luca even more adorable than Ford! I especially adored how Fox employs elements we often see in shifter romances whenever Luca refers to his “inner mobster.” Cute, yes, but also a subtle reminder that he is trying to be so much more than the life for which his father attempted to groom him.

Luckily, Ford is equally attracted to both Luca and Luca’s inner mobster. Fox goes all in on the swoon factor in this particular murder swoon romance, on both Ford’s and Luca’s parts. Don’t worry, the murder element is also present in this book, but one is much more detailed than the other. Both are equally entertaining; the swoon just happens to be a lot spicier. Fox sneaks an epic plot twist amongst all the flirting, which kept me on my toes and elevated the overall stakes of the story.

As usual, we also get glimpses of previous happily ever afters with characters in this interconnected romance series, along with subtle development of the relationship in the forthcoming novel. Hopper and his RICO agent have been the overall tease of the series for me, and Fox sets up their story amid Luca and Ford’s relationship arc. Of course, she also teases a few other tempting background love stories, and she should know by now that her readers don’t let her forget these things.

Perhaps my favorite in the series and Declan Winters gave a fantastic narrative performance.

Chock full of love, friendship, angst, and allll the ooyee gooey sweetness.

And of course there’s the buildup to {at least} two more stories!!

A Good Mafia

This was book 3 in the "Mobsters and Billionaires" series. This was a really good read. Luca Stefano is a Mafia Don who is trying to clean up his image. I really liked Luca he was a hot sexy alpha male who wasn't afraid to show his emotions. Ford Bradley is a billionaire who I also liked they have the hottest for each other but Ford his keeping him at arms length. When they decide to spend the gala season together they get close and Luca learns a secret about Ford he is a virgin. I really liked the secondary characters in this book the friends were very supportive. I loved that Luca was willing to go slow to take his time with Ford. When another mafia family makes a move on him Luca proves that he hasn't gone to soft and when Ford's ex becomes a problem he realizes that there is more going on and Agent Liam Hughes who was trying to get a Rico case on Luca is in the middle of it. This was a good read and my first time reading this author and I didn't read the first two books in this series but I will before the next book comes out. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Fantastic story, Fantastic narration, definite must listen! Both Kelly and Declan knocked it out of the park.

Audiobook Hit the Spot

First off, full disclosure: I had tried to read this book, e-book that is, for the longest time(i think 3 separate attempts) but I kept getting stuck. I gave up on this and even went on to read the next book in the series because I just could not get into this book. Who knew I just needed the audio to realise what a good story it was? lol

From the very first second of the performance, the narrator(Declan Winters) had me hooked. His interpretation of the voices were spot on and made the story flow effortlessly. He truly brought what had been a lost cause (for me) to life and I enjoyed everything about his delivery immensely.

Sure, the pacing could've used a bit more work and some of Ford's hangups had me a bit frustrated but all in all, this was a solid book and I thought he and the reforming mafioso Luca made a great couple. It was also great seeing the established couples from the previous books make appearances which nudged stubborn Ford in the right direction.

Since I'd already read the next book, it was great to see how Ford's past influenced agent Hughes from the the horses own mouth as they say.

I would love to have a novella on how Rand's housekeeper/butler managed to snag not one, but two partners being as low key as he was. That should make for an interesting story. Lol.

I would recommend the Audiobook version of this series for those who, like me, had struggled with the books in their ebook/hardcopy formats. Trust me, it makes a world of difference.
