Troy was a great choice for David!

Mmm… I can say I really like Troy Duran’s performance for David. Veronica Parker narrated Charlie well but I just wasn’t feeling her as much I was Troy. Their narration together was enjoyable enough but I feel that Troy was the one that shone bright. I couldn’t stop listening even though I’ve read the book. It was a whole new experience. The steam between the characters is fire and the chemistry is on point.

Atone

So many twist and turns. I could not put this one down. You should start from the beginning of the series so you can follow everything that is going on. I love David and Charlie’s story. Wish it wouldn’t have taken David so long to grieve and come to terms with everything. Be we all work at a different pace. You must add this one to your TBR!!

Amazing work

I’m addicted! When I say I’m addicted that’s just what I mean. I don’t do anything but listen to these books. I’ve given up tv. I finish a book a day. You have to listen!

So much better than book 1!!

I forgot how boring book 1 was, that FMC, Eve, just bored me. However, this book is where this series starts to pick up speed and if I am now remembering correctly just gets better and better. This book starts to create the entire universe with more characters and more interactions not just constant internal monologues. It makes for a much richer reading experience.

different than the 1st

these main characters were so much better than the first book. She is wonderful and he is too but he is so very broken, it's sad. I definitely liked underlying the story but so much, way too much, se*.

Atone

David/Poet and Charlie are star crossed I swear. When Charlie was almost 18, David comes up to her and tells her he wants her but naturally would need to wait until she is 18. David had a baby mamma and a child at the time but he only saw her. They had a connection and formed an unlikely friendship before all of this. Something tragic happens and David takes off. a10 years later he comes back to get revenge on the people who ruined his life. This book was amazing and intense. I listened to it through Audible but it was amazing the narrators were fantastic.

Expected more.

Honestly, the first book was great, this book is basically the same story with different characters. Don’t get me wrong it’s entertaining, but the voice of the female character is just bland... there is no sultry or enticing anything in her voice so the intimate scenes are just so... uninteresting. She was not a good choice. There is no emotion in her voice. Like she is super uncomfortable reading this.

Anyhow, I’m still going to listen to the next book.

Excellent storytelling

The story is excellent and the narration was spot on. I really enjoyed this book. The story of Poet and Charlie was heartbreaking and very poignant.

David and Charlie

A dark, twisted, gritty and raw journey to go on with David and Charlie. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time with my heart racing unable to figure out what will happen next. David is tormented and awful most of the time but Charlie loves him and wants to help him. Wow! I have no words, other than I enjoyed this wild and crazy ride. Narration was GREAT!

Nice Continuation

I liked the second installment. It felt like these two characters were more grown than the first book. Usually these books are more friends to lovers. But I appreciated that he liked her right away. Takes a few chapters to get into it. But very dynamic story outside the romance.
