This journey and explorations paint a new, never-before-revealed story of the real Atlantis, its destruction, and ensuing aftermath. This journey completes and revises the Atlantis story, with new connections revealed from museums and archaeological sites in Ireland, Switzerland, and Spain. This author draws all fascinating conclusions from these archaeological sites and overlooked evidence in central Spain, Switzerland, and Ireland. The Bronze Age Minoan civilization is much larger and richer than previously thought. Atlantis’ story’s essential elements are an advanced civilization, a large island empire, and a great natural catastrophe. Many immediately drew a connection to the Atlantis story with the 1960s archaeological discovery of an advanced Bronze Age civilization on Santorini’s southern coast, known as Ancient Akrotiri. It is also known as the ‘Pompeii of the Aegean,’ as covered by the Thera eruption. Many investigators quickly began to posit that Thera and Akrotiri were the basis for the story of Atlantis. Now, the author’s travels take us to Spain, where they investigate what occurred in the aftermath of the eruption, exploring the evidence and artifacts located in museums and archaeological sites. They also follow leads that take them to Spain, Ireland, and even Switzerland, and back to Ireland. What the author discovers and reveals will likely cause Minoan history to be rewritten!
