It is a monologue of ecological and libertarian thought that imagines the life philosophy in a simple day of Henry David Thoreau, during his two-year, two-month experiment of isolation and self-sufficiency in nature at Walden. It shows us the healing power that nature exerts over the individual. Narrated with a touch of poetry, we see the simplicity of life stripped of the daily human complications that society imposes on us. This is an ecological call from the father of civil rights (who inspired Gandhi and M.L. King to peaceful resistance) for self-repair and the elevation of the human spirit through the simple natural foundations from which we once strayed, only to follow a path of madness and social death.
