Asymmetry, Spoiled* and Anticipation*, the Need Trilogy, the Tamed & Trained Trilogy**, the Fate of the Fallen series, and Gifts can all be read separately from each other. Though they are all set in the same universe and there is occasional crossover, the timeline is ambiguous, and there are minimal spoilers across the books.

Love It!

This is such a sweet story and to have Kenneth Obi narration just makes in even better. Dorian and Emery shouldn't work but are just amazing together. I love every thing about this book. Having R. Phoenix and Kenneth Obi together just makes an amazing listen.

A sweet story in a dark world

I listened to this one in one day,the sweetness to it was a pleasant surprise and I hope to hear more from them. I love the world the author built for this series.

cute and quirky

It's difficult to do much with a novella that runs just over an hour, but this is entertaining and doesn't feel rushed. It was a fun and quirky story between a baby vampire and his dinner and I can see myself picking it up again when i'm looking for something short.

Kenneth Obi is a great narrator and has done an excellent job with these guys.

A cute story, in a dark world ~

This short story was really cute and sweet, something you don't usually see in this kind of dark world. Dorian is a "baby" vampire, who still know nothing about the supernatural world and about hunting his "meals". This is how he met Emery, a weak witch, he mistake for a human. They aren't really a couple, because we see only the beginning of their "relationship", but I think with time they would make a cute pairing. Dorian is really sweet and Emery is a little odd so exploring their dynamic as a couple would be really cool~

so... we switched narrators and i did like the last one but this one did even better imo... i love this narrator.. he always hits everything on the head.. their emotions.. their darkness.. the tiny bit of light that might exist in some of them still... it was wonderful

A witch and a vampire

This is a stand alone story in the authors Fate of the Fallen universe. Dorian is a new vampire, fumbling his way towards trying to survive. Emery is a witch without a lot of power. This is an unlikely friendship in this world, but they are drawn together. Its a short sweet hot story. And narration is terrific. Recommend

overall great

The story was short and simple so it was and easy read for me to get through. it was surprisingly very cute for such a dark setting. I felt like so much more could have been done to continue with and expand upon the story but I fell for the characters in such a short time. I recommend it.

Quirky paranormal romance.

Short story about a brandnew and still quite helpless vampire and a young witchling. I liked that Dorian, the vampire is the more vulnerable of the two MC’s, yearning for friendship and affection, and not the usual aloof and all-powerful predator, not that those can’t be charming too. It’s Emery who seems to have his act together best and takes on the more dominant role in their relationship.

Kenneth Obi is a great narrator and I really enjoyed listening to his performance of this short story.

Fate of the Fallen Stand Alone

This is a cute little story about a new vampire and a powerless witch. For this cruel world that R. Phoenix has created it was really quite sweet. Lovely to see and Kenneth Obi hit the perfect notes with his narration.

Very sweet boy meets boy story

This was such a well written novella, a unique take on boy meets boy from the wrong side of town story. Both Dorian and Emery are young and full of longing for something other than mere survival. I have read all the stories set in the Fate of the Fallen world and Asymmetry shows a different, a kinder and sweeter side of this dark and cruel world. The narration was very good and fit the story perfectly. I recommend this audiobook to readers who enjoy paranormal romance and like a great story.
