so I don't have words to explain the different emotions I was feeling while listening. the first half of was very sad the second half is were my confusion came in but overall as always the author and narrators did a great job

I really needed a good cry. This was it. I can only ever pray to find me a good man like Dixie. If I do, I pray I’d be a good wife like Mary.

Ok its gonna take 2 days for this 1. it's a 2 n 1. The 1st is Dixie himself (life & luv story) & it's so heartbreaking yet beautiful 🥹🥹, I literally cried frm ch. 20 till author's note (which was end of part 1). A befitting end to the man, the legend. I'll listen to part 2 after I compose myself.

Cried my eyes out...

I literally cried the entire book. You can't do this to a perimenapausal woman...lol Whether happy or sad I cried. It was an amazing story. Every girl dreams of a man like Dixie & for that instant that you just know he is your one. Wish it were a little longer. More memories. Though on that note I don't think I could've cried anymore...lol The second book just as good & gave me the happy feels I needed after the heavy from the first. Awesome as always...

getting away from her father.

loved the storyline would have loved if father had repented and apologized. very heartwarming and wholesome.

FANTASTIC

I'm not going to lie. I put off reading this book for a while because I knew how emotional it would be. It definitely was ... but, I still loved everything about it. Lani Lynn Vale can tell a story like no other!!! Even though this one was rough, she handled it all beautifully!!!

And the story that she added afterwards was just perfect! I loved how it fit in with the original story! Genius!!! Thank you so much Lani!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
