Resumen del Editor

Ashlynn Blake, minor goddess of the hunt - lethal, beautiful, and able to connect with animals on a psychic level - is the perfect person to place judgment upon an accused dragon. But first she has to prove to the gods that Ty Sullivan is innocent of his crimes. If she fails she's doomed to lose her heart along with him forever.

Ty's been beaten, scarred, and betrayed by females. He doesn't trust them and can't stand being around them for longer than he or his dragon needs to be. When he meets Ashlynn, his dragon is ready to mate, but the man believes she's no different from the others.

The Fates have thrown them together, forcing secrets to be told and igniting a passion so fierce it may destroy both of them.

Drama!!

I should've listened to this book first, it answered a lot of the questions that I had when I listened to Artemis' story.

I really enjoyed the characters, their struggles, and determination to overcome their obstacles.

The narration was very creative and on point throughout the entire books which I greatly appreciated because there were so many characters and emotions coming and going throughout the whole book.

Great read and listen..

In some ways I liked this one a little better that book #1. I really liked Ty and Ashlynn BUT there could have been more story and less sex. In book #1 there was one sex scene and a lot more story but in this one there was like 3 or 4 sex scenes, and that’s a lot in a 240 page book. Although, I don’t believe there was a full 240 pages to the story. It ended at 93% and at location 1740 of 1883, and it did seem to be over awfully fast.

Anyway, I liked that Ty was flawed and tortured after been held by Garrick, the evil brother, for a time that was to terrible for words. And he didn’t trust women no-way no-how. Except for Ash, that is.

This story was built around Ash having to prove Ty was not guilty of murder, or he was going to be put to death by Zeus. Ty couldn't remember much of anything so he really thought he'd killed Elizabeth. What I didn’t understand was Eros wanting Ty dead because he thought Ty killed his daughter BUT when Zeus said he was innocent of all charges Eros attacked Ty. That was silly. I mean, Ty actually had witness but Eros wasn’t going to accept it, and Zeus read his mind. You can't get any better proof than that.

So, this had swearing and the F-bomb was used 45 times. And, like I said there was 3 or 4 sex scenes.

As to the narrator: Michael Ferraiuolo does everything right, most of the time! My favorite is he really, really laughs when the book calls for it. AND woman sound like women. AND all the men have sexy voices.

Great second book!

If you read book one of the series, War's Passion you knew this one was coming--Ty and Ashlynn were giving off some major vibes from the very first time they met, for all of Ty's serious hangups with women.

Though never has a guy had more valid reasons to have hangups where women are concerned...betrayed by two, permanently scarred--both mentally and physically (and almost killed)--by one of them, he wants nothing to do with females.

Ever.

Again.

And he means it.

But then Ash comes along...and his dragon has other ideas. Ideas which Ty tries to resist, which of course is futile.

At first Ash hides her true purpose in seeking out the Sons of War, which is to decide Ty's guilt or innocence in the death of the daughter of a god. But she feels the pull too, and believing him innocent, she admits early on what she's trying to do.

Then all she has to do is find a way to prove Ty's innocence (he can't remember the incident and is afraid he did do it, though he's starting to have dreams that might actually be memories), earn his trust, and get his human side to go along with his dragon's "claim Ash as our mate" plan.

Oh, and dodge Garrick and his bad of descendants and a couple of angry gods. Easy peasy, right? ';)

Just as steamy and action-filled as book one, though considerably longer, I very much enjoyed this one. Next up is a novella with Ash's parents, Artemis and the man she thought she'd lost forever years ago...

With the overarching plot of Garrick's big plan and the story behind the Sons, it makes sense to read this one in series order. Ms. Davis does do a good job of recapping the main info you need, though, so if you haven't read book one (or haven't read it in awhile) you'll probably be okay starting with this one. The narrator once again does a good job of voicing the characters, differentiating between male and female voices with ease.

Please, please, please tell me Elle and Zavier's book is coming soon--it's heavily hinted at in this one, and it's gonna be good! :)

So much excitement

Another great book by this narrator!
This book continues where book one left off, but follows the next brother. I am loving the journey that this series is taking me on. I am just devouring every word. So much excitement!!!
This is about Ty. He is trying to get over what happened to him while he was tortured. He is being blamed for a death but he can't remember what happened because Garreth put a memory spell on him.
Ash is his mate but she must find out the truth of what happened within seven days or Zeus will sentence him to death

Even better than the first book

Even better than the first book. We learn more about the histories of the characters and how their interactions with each other shaped the world they are in now. All nicely wrapped up with a romance between someone who has to learn to trust again and someone who has to learn to trust her gut.

Same problems as the first of the series.

What disappointed you about Ashes of War?

The love scenes and the action scenes were short, boring and emotionless.

If you’ve listened to books by Lia Davis before, how does this one compare?

Sadly, this one and the first one in this series were the first that I've read by Lia Davis. I am afraid to spend my hard earned money and credits on any more of hers.

How could the performance have been better?

The narrator's got a great voice, I just wish that he'd use it better.

What character would you cut from Ashes of War?

I wouldn't cut any of the characters, I would just give them a different voice and more to do. They sounded bored and boring.

Any additional comments?

This series had some great potential.
