In love all over again

I was so surprised by the plot twists they were able to create and how much i love this story it did get a little dark but honestly VERY GOOD i wish there was another

Worth every minute!

I never thought I could love something more than the original and this by far was amazing and I hope it will be turned into a movie!

absolutely fantastical book

this was incredible. I found myself listening at every opportunity. the "grown up" version of a fairytale not unlike wicked (though maybe just a bit lighter hearted) with a great message. I fully intend on listening to every one of this series !!

A great twist to a classic

Really loved the twist of the classic story. Great mystery story. Highly recommend the read.

The other side

Loved this book and now want to explore other books in this series. Seeing the story from the princess view was truly enjoyable.

Possibly the best B&B retelling I've ever read

I'm an avid reader of fairy tale retellings...a bit of a connoisseur. I've been making my way through this series and found the first two books a solid B+. But my word is this book unexpectedly excellent. I'm going to buy multiple hard copies for myself and friends because it's seriously that good.

There are so many plot twists that change how the characters develop, sometimes in pretty dramatic ways. I was on the edge of my seat by the second half. Considering that it's a Disney licensed YA novel, I'm surprised the author was allowed to be so wildly creative with the plot.

I also appreciated some of the small details the author included to show she had an understanding of the story's historical context. It's still a fantasy story, but the author makes an attempt to go beyond the movie's flimsy "French countryside " setting, while not making historical accuracy a focus.

Surprised me that I liked it

It surprised me that I ended up liking it decently enough. At first, it seemed to drag on to get to the point. But, once there, it became a little thriller. I liked the middle of the book very much. The end was definitely "twisted" in a way. But, I wish it ended less cheesy and more fairytale story like.
I think it would be a great next read, unless you have something else you know you'll enjoy more. It's good enough to pull up when you don't have other things to read.
Narrator was great.

A book to escape reality.

I highly enjoyed As Old as Time. The author wrote the story beautifully, I felt like I was in the story because of how detailed it was. Being able read the thoughts and emotions of the characters brought this book to life. I loved how in depth the story got with belle’s mother including the plot! I’ve slowly started to read again this year due to covid-19 which now I have time to spare and let me tell you something... I finished this book in three bloody days!

I liked this book because it was an exiting twist that Liz Braswell has come up with but on some parts of the book I did get a little lost but besides that it was an amazing story and I recommend this to middle aged children ( because some of the content can be inappropriate for small children I loved this book and it had me on my toes and I thought the author did a very good job on this book!
