Art of War

The text known in the West as The Art of War was written in the 6th or 4th century BCE and is attributed to the general Sun Tzu, who lived in the 6th century BCE. In the 3rd century CE, another great general, Ts’ao Ts’ao, who was posthumously recognized as an emperor, reedited this book, organizing it into the current thirteen chapters. The present version is a faithful translation of a 17th-century Chinese edition.
