This is a fictional story of a young woman's life in an utopian army base very loosely on the British army.
When Jessica Jones joined the army, it did not come as a surprise. Her grandfather and father were army men. When the brigadier thought she was being put upon by the other squaddies, he promoted her to corporal. That made the sergeant dislike her even more than he did already. As they neared the end of their training they flew out to maneuvers in the desert. Unfortunately the plane crashed. When she woke there were just two of them there, her and the dead lieutenant. She had a broken leg and dislocated arm but still managed to get out of her seat. When she checked on the lieutenant, someone had shot him in the head. To get justice for the lieutenant, all she had to do is to stay alive until her leg healed and then walked out of the desert. A big undertaking but she was just the girl to do it.
