After his defeat by Darren Moskoff, the nation’s most renowned junior sharpshooter, Vaughn Newcot wrongly interprets an innocent misunderstanding as an insult and a snub. With no other option available, Mitchell too sets out to find the Moskoffs. In search of Darren and his father, both Mitchell and Vaughn journey from New York City to the Adirondacks and finally to a sleepy New Jersey beach town, where Vaughn and Mitchell collide in an act of unspeakable carnage leaving one dead and the other forever changed.
