Buckley Mills Forrester is under tremendous pressure to finish auditing a company so that it can borrow $100 million to buy a pharmaceuticals startup. The prior auditor on the job was killed. He suspects Becker, a spikey haired woman with a Ph.D. in math of cooking the company’s books. And, the company’s owner keeps $40 million of gold in the basement. Nobody knows where the gold came from. When Forrester starts asking questions, more people die. Something smells.
