Great Christian Self Esteem book

I have been listening to the approval addiction audio.I think it is the only self esteem book one should read as a christian.There are many useful truths.Truths like:Approval addiction is bondage.ask God to free you from that prison.Being addicted to approval is a miserable way to live. You cannot please everyone. Please the one who loves you unconditionally. God loves you.He sent his son to die for you. Even while you were still imperfect. He loves you. The way a mother loves her child unconditionally. God loves you even more. He is the most important one that you shd seek approval from. He made you to commune with him. He loves you totally.Jesus came to heal us. Take to him your emotional hurt and pain.Ask God to heal your emotional wounds.God wants us to be ourselves. To be what he created us to be. He is not surprised by how we are. he wants us to be comfortable being ourselves. We are all uniquely made. we should love ourselves. It is a commandment.This audio has improved my self esteem greatly.It has helped me to focus on what is most important in my life.It has improved my spiritual life.Joyce has been very candid about her life and I appreciate her honesty.No one is perfect.
I would highly recommend this book to any christian who suffers from low self esteem and is not enjoying life to its fullest.Gods truths remain unchanged.Just believe in him and you shall be set free.I will definetely buy the book as a reference guide whenever I need a boost of confidence in who I am.

Great and Thoughtfully Written and Narrated

Very helpful nuggets throughout. A quick listen. The focus reaches all kinds of persons who seek approval for a myriad of reasons. Certainly grounded in scripture with good diverse examples.

Parts of the book were left out in Audio

I read my books while listening to the audio. Great book but had to constantly pause and try to find where the audio was picking up next. The chapters in the audio do not match the chapters in the book.
The message is amazing! A must listen for everyone.

This book has been and inspiration and a wonderful tool to assist me in searching the depths of my soul and bringing consciousness to my hidden need for approval. I will use what I learned to seek God's approval, not the approval of my family or peers. The Bible is my tool for God's approval.

yes, gave me confidants to say no and not feel discoraged if people don't approve. remined me not to be a people pleaser. Be a God pleaser!!

It's ok to say no, and not feel guilty. also not to let your approval addiction rule you making you do things you really don't want to . because you need people to like you. because you will never please everyone all the time...and They will just have to deal with it,it's their problem if they don't like it...not yours.
