Book Three in this series includes this account of the Battle of Hastings based on Wace's Roman de Rou. Other stories include the adventures of a housecarl who, after the defeat at Hastings, joins the Varangian Guard, a story about the young Artorius (later to become King Arthur), and an account of the death of Starkad, the great Viking of all.
