Brilliant Angela Christian, subsisting on a meager trust fund and scholarships, has her mind made up. She knows exactly what she wants, and is well on the way to procuring it. Her master’s year at University, she is finally eligible for team field trips, digs, led by the dashing adventurer, Dr. Rex Haldemen. Too dashing. So... perfect. But she has no time for distractions. Education, her goal to be the top of the archaeology world, is her only focus. And the digs are the crucible within which character is formed. That Doctorate is… everything! Dr. Rex Haldemen will have to wait. But things don’t want to let her be. Uncovering the find of a lifetime in Guatemala sets several wheels in motion, none of them seemingly good for her or Rex. Two separate groups of enemies are after them and the icon, or maybe something else. The icon goes missing, but the pressure on Angela and her protector does not end! And if it was not for the devil may care, head-on attitude of Rex, she would be dead many times over! And so the attraction grows. Despite his need, and hers, to be free spirits, they are drawn together, first by danger, second by love. Approaching Heaven’s door, they are on the run… in Hell.
