Sometimes they're shocking, like "the worst day" in her life when her brother blew off his hand hammering a dynamite cap. Another brother almost died from eating carbide powder cookies he made.
This kid had an unusual childhood, growing up by a dying silver mining town bordering Yellowstone Park. You must hear this little girl's vividly told stories if you are interested in the vanishing western era she describes.

Such a fun book to listen to!
Would you listen to An Unusual Childhood again? Why?
It was written in such a way that connected you to that time period. It was simple, but provided such a good reference.
What about Wendy Kay White’s performance did you like?
