An Unanticipated Harvest of Love

Wade was about to escape his dictatorial father's heavy-handed control. He and his best friend Eric were preparing to graduate and leave home to start college together. Until Wade's father learned Eric was gay, which threw him into a fury. Wade was forced to invite a woman to the prom, and by some miracle he proved his manliness by sleeping with her.

But it all crashed around him when Cassandra told him she was pregnant. Instead of going to college happily with Eric, he went with his new wife and a very angry former best friend. Eric had an increasingly difficult time living with Wade without being able to touch him, eventually just leaving.

College graduation was a chance for Wade to get a good job and be free, But when Wade's father died suddenly, he and Cassandra had to give up their plans and return to their former rural world to run the family farm. After a year, Cassandra couldn't take it anymore and ran off with a man she met in a local bar, leaving Wade about to be crushed until the weight of his responsibilities.

Just when Wade was about to thrown in his towel, his new hired hand, Jack, unexpectedly gave him his first glimmer of hope. Was there still a chance Wade could finally find happiness?
