Bryant T. Jordan
Acerca de esta escucha
Simply put, An Open Letter to All Regarding Donald Sterling is a 112 page must-read, thought-provoking audiobook, and one that should inspire a great deal of debate!
Author Bryant T. Jordan examines and breaks down, not only the exact words of Donald Sterling as recorded by V. Stiviano in the infamous TMZ and Deadspin recordings, but those of NBA celebrities such as Shaquille O'Neal, Magic Johnson, and Isiah Thomas. Jordan also examines the mass public's reaction to such thought-to-be-private words and even explores NBA Commissioner Adam Silver's public condemnation of Mr. Sterling's words and the subsequent punishment handed down to Sterling, and whether or not such a punishment truly fit the crime.
From quoting Martin Luther King to Tupac Shakur (aka PAC) to Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Bryant T. Jordan raises important questions such as:
- Did the TMZ and Deadspin recordings really prove Sterling was a Hitler-esque racist or merely that he was an upset Sugar Daddy?
- Did the media leave out important information that would have painted Sterling in a different light, in favor or creating ratings nirvana?
- Did Sterling deserve a lifetime ban for uttering private words?
- Are politically incorrect words worthy of a far worse punishment than actual criminal actions like assault, rape, and even murder?

Breitbart is convinced that too many national stories are slanted by the news media in an unfair way. In Righteous Indignation, Breitbart talks about the key issues that Americans face, how he has aligned himself with the Tea Party, and how one needs to deal with the liberal news world head on.

The Third Option is a plea on behalf of a brokenhearted God who, scripture teaches, is frustrated with those of us who claim to believe in him but are really “faking the faith”. McPherson argues that we must rise above the issues that divide us and be part of something bigger. The Third Option challenges both believers and seekers to fully embrace God’s goodness and power. McPherson believes that instead of choosing one of two sides, there is a third option - one that’s proven to bring people together, mend relationships, and promote genuine peace in communities.

While the changes that took place in America during President Obama's first 18 months in office are dizzying to just think about, their real-life impact on the average American is a helluva lot stronger than that. Tempers have reached the boiling point over the shifts in healthcare, immigration, national security, energy, and the environment.

Historia
In Addicted to Outrage, New York Times best-selling author Glenn Beck addresses how America has become more and more divided - both politically and socially. Americans are now less accepting, less forgiving, and have lost faith in many of the country's signature ideals. They are quick to point a judgmental finger at the opposing party, are unwilling to doubt their own ideologies, and refuse to have any self-awareness whatsoever. Beck states that this current downward spiral will ultimately lead to the destruction of everything America has fought so hard to preserve.

Historia
On the day after the World Trade Center was attacked, Americans came together regardless of race, religion, or sexual orientation. We were united. On that day, nearly every store in the country sold out of American flags. After the events of the last 18 months, from the COVID-19 pandemic to the constant attempts to divide us by race, Graham Allen believes that we should all look back on the events of 9/12 and remember what unites us. He believes that we do not all have to be the same, that it's okay not to agree on everything, but that we share a common history and a set of values.

Historia
Greg Gutfeld hates artificial tolerance. At the root of every single major political conflict is the annoying coddling Americans must endure of these harebrained liberal hypocrisies. In fact, most of the time liberals use the mantle of tolerance as a guise for their pathetic intolerance. And what we really need is smart intolerance, or as Gutfeld reminds us, what we used to call common sense. The Joy of Hate tackles this conundrum head on- - replacing the idiocy of open-mindness with a shrewd judgmentalism that rejects stupid ideas, notions, and people.

Bill O'Reilly is the very embodiment of the idea of a Culture Warrior, and in this book he lives up to the title brilliantly, with all the brashness and forthrightness at his command. He sees that America is in the midst of a fierce culture war between those who embrace traditional values and those who want to change America into a "secular-progressive" country.

With every sunrise we are given plenty of new examples of people "hitting send" and soon regretting it. Social media means what it says: It is social! Our methods of communication today allow for something to potentially be broadcast to everyone from Pekin, Illinois, to Peking, China. But it's not only Twitter fanatics who can find themselves in trouble. Every single one of us is capable of falling prey to this growing plague.

Enough of the hyperbolic liberal rhetoric comparing Bush to Hitler and Abu Ghraib to a Saddam Hussein torture chamber. And please, enough of the military-hating crazies who run San Francisco!
