This novel takes the medieval events surrounding the death of Rosamond Clifford, mistress of Henry II, and transposes them into a Regency-era murder mystery full of swoon-worthy romance. It is the fourth audiobook in the Pevensey Mysteries and would be best enjoyed in sequence.

Love, Lies, and Second Chances

This was a very good listen that I enjoyed immensely, and I look forward to more by this author. The story blends a marriage of convenience with romance and mystery, as Helena and Ralph navigate past wounds, hidden truths, and a growing connection neither fully expected. As secrets come to light and danger unfolds, their relationship is tested in meaningful ways. The narration by Maria Nicola Johnson was well done and added nicely to the overall experience.

A fun historic period mystery. Excellent narration, with very well defined, distinctly different vocal characterizations.

Excellent characters and plot

Excellent characters and plot. Enjoyable tale, Loved the hero and heroine, as well as majority of other characters. Mystery interesting and "bad guys" villianous without being uncomfortably tense. I own the audible for Book 3, and now plan to get it for Book 1 and 2 as well.

Regency

An Inconvenient Journey by Rosanne E. Lortz is an amazing regency romance mystery. Maria Nicola Johnson did an incredible job with the narration . The story is entertaining, interesting, enjoyable, romantic, clean, wholesome, suspenseful, engaging, twist and turns, and more. An Inconvenient Journey is the fourth book in Pevensey Mysteries series.
