An Arsenal of Gratitude is an unapologetic assault on mediocrity and taking life for granted. These are the lessons from heartbreaking and miraculous stories growing alongside childhood cancer survivors, life-or-death scenarios as a big-game horseback guide, wrestling with addiction, and so much more.
Remmy spares no vulnerable, gritty detail to stress gratitude as the all-powerful foundation to build our lives upon. This book is a no-nonsense crash course on improving our holistic well-being. It will tear down victim mentality, entitlement, and comfort abuse to help us redefine ourselves through gratitude, intentionality, authenticity, and antifragile mindsets. The bitter cliché that we all know in our own story, “you don’t know what you have until it’s gone”, dies with this book.

Most gratitude books make their point early and then repeat it until it loses impact--this is NOT one of those books and that was SO refreshing. This book doesn't run on cliches, is not redundant and each chapter offers a new angle- I consistently found myself pausing on sentences that sparked genuine “aha” moments. Opportunities for deeper reflection and introspection. LOVE this!
I chose to read one chapter a day over the course of a month, and it worked perfectly. The book is packed with sharp insights and memorable quotes that invite real reflection rather than passive agreement. Gratitude is explored through themes like effort, ambition, boredom, hardship, responsibility, curiosity, and purpose in a way that feels challenging and motivating. Rather than offering surface-level positivity, the book challenges the reader to examine themsleves and also how gratitude shows up in discipline, priorities, and the willingness to pursue a meaningful life. I like books that really make me think more deeply about things and this one really delivered.
The writing is clear and easy to read/listen to, yet deep and thoughtful. Although the book is easy to read it is NOT shallow--it makes complex ideas approachable without oversimplifying them. The tone feels like a respectful challenge that is truly inspiring. The voice really is a call to wage war on mediocrity. This is incredible! The pull/push to step outside of the comfort zone in a way that feels exciting rather than fear based. Pretty cool.
This is not just a feel good type of book. It’s a book about effort, perspective, and refusing to settle for an easy life at the expense of a meaningful one. It asks what gratitude actually demands of us, not just how it makes us feel!
This book inspired in a way that I didn't expect. I highly recommend it.
