When realising their mistake, many people simply turn around and head back along the road they have travelled so often and may laugh about things then never give it a second thought. This is a story about one man, Edward, dragged down by debt and a monotonous job, in a dead beat place and no longer with any hope, who simply is in a daze one morning driving to work ... who takes a wrong turn - and makes a conscious decision not to turn back. What he finds is forest land he remembered from years ago and ... Emily. Mysterious, unscrupulous and dangerous Emily. The two strike up an unlikely friendship that slowly but surely begins to unravel Edwards life as Emily launches her bitter business take over from her father and then her rivals, killing anyone - anyone - who gets in her way as she creates a business empire based on the deep drive to be recognised and appreciated. Nothing can stop Emily. Not even Edward ... but does he even want to?
