A good story, spoiled by a poor narrator

These books, which are well written, were just made into audible books in 2024. Sadly, they picked a narrator that couldn’t do them justice. He does fine with the dialogue, but his cadence in the descriptive passages is just too singsong to bear. If I pull up the next installment and it’s the same narrator, I will have to pass.
